Superman and Bryan Adams Bhaiyyaa

We all know how Superman has a huge responsibility on his shoulder to save the world. But he has other work as well other than just sitting with his underpants over his tights. As you all know that he works as a photo journalist. Well you may not know but he also takes up other sundry works on weekends just to earn some extra bucks. Honestly, newspapers do not pay much anyways. It was one such Sunday that our Superman was working. There was not much difference in the role as here too he was helping out people but it was a reception desk of an event where people would come to find their way to a particular stall or counter. He would guide those who came for help. He would entertain little children and talk to others in general. It was a happy, bright and sunny day. As always our Superman of all the people present took fancy of the journalist covering the event. There is something about journos that he finds hard to resist I guess. But poor superman couldn’t figure out how to approach he

Not Again!!

Cricket is not my religion, Sachin is not my God. But when I saw him getting out at 97(again) today, Ouch! It hurt. It is the 6th time this year when he has been bowled out in the 90s. One of them was at PCA Mohali, where I saw him get out at 99 in front of my eyes. Today I was positive that he will break the jinx, but no, the Master Blaster missed again. I belong to a generation which has not seen cricket without Sachin. People worship him, idolise him. When many critics had written him off, these fans had backed him no matter what. And it is great to see him back in action. His performance in the Ind-Pak series has been outstanding. But I really feel for him for not reaching the hundred mark. It I something we all can relate to. Missing out on our goals by just a nick. Missing out on opportunities that are right in front of us. Getting jitters even after years of experience. Pressure of being at the top. Pressure of performing. Not living upto the expectations of family and friends.

50

Sachin missed his century by a run, Misbah missed his half century by a run, India Lost in the end as I spent my entire day at the picture perfect stadium in Mohali. No matter what they say, the experience of watching a match Live has its own charm. Sitting in the sun, eating the overpriced food, chanting slogans and screaming at the top of your voice… yes its pretty much fun! Keeping the match aside, lets talk about some other scores. Misbah might have missed it, but I haven’t. With this post I complete my 50 Posts(*applause*) Considering the fact, that I was never convinced about blogging in the first place and I am not a writer, it is quite an achievement, to have 50 posts in around 7 months. For a long time I read blogs, but I could never picture myself having one of my own. Not until I was exposed to a different variety of blogs. Some blogs did inspire me to start writing again, but I still dint put them on the web. And then one fine day I said that’s it. Enough dilly-dallying,

28 Days Later

I have an Aunt. She is quite old. It seems she has been around since eternity. Anyways, this aunt of mine has a habit of visiting us every month. After every 4 weeks (28 days) she has to come and stay with us for some days. Initially it was fine, but now it has become really irritating. Earlier she used to put up in my mother’s room. But with growing age, she can no longer climb up the stairs, so I have to sacrifice my room which happens to be on the ground floor. She doesn’t realise that it can really upset someone’s daily routine. We have cancelled at our plans many times because of her. Many times we have to take her along wherever we are going and it can be embarrassing and uncomfortable. What more, she sometimes calls up in advance and demands that her favourite chocolate pie must be ready when she reaches. At other times, she lands up without informing. And the most annoying part is when she doesn’t land up on the day she has informed she would and we wait like fools, with her f
